Recently, immunogenic cell death has emerged as an alternative method for utilizing dying cancer cells to elicit an antitumor immune response through conventional anticancer therapy. However, proteolysis and oxidation of alarmins during the apoptotic process occur irreversible loss of immunogenicity. Here, we report nanobubble-induced immunogenic cell death that can induce the release of intact damage-associated molecular patterns and tumor-associated antigens through physical disruption of the cellular membrane. |
