Drug Release of Doxorubicin Loaded Core/Shell NanoparticlesFor pH-Sensitive Delivery |

It was well known that the mean value of extracellular pH of human patients having various solid tumors is 7.06 with a full range of 5.7-7.8. Based on this, the drug release in the slightly acidic condition (pH< 6.0) is required for the release of anticancer drug at the tumor site. This study has been performed to evaluate the core/shell nanoparticles as a pH-sensitive delivery system for anticancer drug(doxorubicin). For the application of core/shell nanoparticles as a pH-sensitive delivery system for anticancer drug, Doxorubicin was loaded into the core/shell nanoparticles and the drug release behavior in response to pH change was observed. Considering the size distribution and pH-sensitive release behavior of core/shell nanoparticles, the efficient delivery of Doxorubicin at the tumor site can be expected. |
