Iodine Free Polymer Gel Electrolyte for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells |

We used PEG-EEM as polymer matrix in gel electrolytes and two kinds of polymer gel electrolyte were prepared for DSSCs. Electrolyte A is consisting of PEG-EEM (Mn = 246, Aldrich Co), ionic liquid, plasticizer, and iodine. Electrolyte B was prepared as the same component of Electrolyte A without iodine. The DSSCs using Electrolyte A (Device A) showed 8.18 mA/cm2 of the short-circuit photocurrent (Jsc), 670 mV of the open-circuit voltage (Voc), 0.59 of the fill factor (FF), and 3.24 % of the power conversion efficiency (η). The DSSCs using Electrolyte B (Device B) showed 6.78 mA/cm2 of the Jsc, 780 mV of the Voc, 0.59 of the FF, and 3.10 % of the η. |
