VEGF-loaded core/shell nanoparticles for the angiogenesis and the treatment of ischemic damages. |
초록 |
VEGF is a potent mitogen in embryonic and somatic angiogenesis with a unique specificity for vascular endothelial cells. In our previous study, the core/shell nanoparticles with a lecithin lipid core were prepared and characterized as a delivery system for lipophilic drugs and VEGF. A further study has been also performed to evaluate the core/shell nanoparticles as a protein delivery system in vivo. In this study, their release behavior and the stability were investigated to evaluate the efficacy as a protein delivery system. From the release behavior of nanoparticles, a sustained release pattern was observed that releasing about 80% of the initial loading amount during a 42-day period. From the in vivo animal study, the nanoparticles with 0.25 of the lecithin/F-127 (w/w) ratio were observed better angiogenesis than other groups. The core/shell nanoparticles in this study can be utilized as sustained delivery system of VEGF to treat an ischemic damage. |
