This study demonstrates the utility of digital light pfocessing (DLP) technique particularly using a photocurable ceramic slurry containing PMMA beads for the fabrication of hierarchical macro/micro porous calcium phosphate (CaP) ceramic gyroid structure. More specifically, using PMMA beads can enable the construction of microporous CaP frameworks unlike with the conventional DLP process. Moreover, the fraction and size of micropores formed in CaP frameworks can be tailored by abjusting the contents of PMMA beads. To demonstrate this, three different types of CaP slurries with various PMMA beads contents (40 vol%, 50 vol%, and 60 vol%) were prepared to fabricate hierarchical porous CaP gyroid structrue. all of the produced CaP scaffolds could have well-defined macroporous structures, and thus reasonably high mechanical properties could be obtained at high prosities.
