PPVs have many advantages such as chemical and thermal stability, high photoluminescence (PL) quantum efficiency, and ease of property tuning by copolymerization with various comonomers. In this study, poly(p-phenylenevinylene)-based electroluminescene (EL)polymers, poly(2-(3,7-dimethyloctyloxy)-3,5,6-trimethoxy-1,4-phenylenevinylene) poly(3OC1OC10PV) and poly[(2-(3,7-dimethyloctyloxy)-3,5,6-trimethoxy-1,4-phenyl-enevinylene)-co-(2-(3-dimethyldodecyl -silylphenyl)-1,4-phenylenevinylene)] poly(3OC1OC10PV-co-m-SiPhPV), have been synthesized by Gilch polymerization method. The structure and properties of those polymers were characterized using 1H, 13C-NMR, UV-visible spectroscopy, elemental analysis, GPC, DSC, TGA, photoluminescence (PL). Poly(3OC1OC10PV-co-m-SiPhPV) were completely soluble in most of organic solvents, so easily spin-coated onto the indium-tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrates. The OLED performance will be discussed with different device configurations. |
