제목 Poly(3-hexylthiophene-co-benzothiadiazole): Simple but Useful n-type Copolymer for All-Polymer Solar Cells
초록 Recently polymer solar cells have been extensively highlighted because of their potential for low-cost plastic solar cells. The highest efficiency to date is ~10%, which could be possible by bulk heterojunction structure of p-type polymers and fullerene derivatives. However, the stability of polymer:fullerene solar cells has been issued because the fullerene derivatives have a tendency to continuously crystallize or aggregate under illumination of solar light. Hence all-polymer solar cells have been considered as a contingency since n-type polymers are replaced with the fullerene derivatives. In this presentation, we will discuss on the synthesis and solar cell applications of a simple donor-acceptor type n-type copolymer, poly(3-hexylthiophene-co-benzothiadiazole) (THBT), which is useful to study the inherent points of n-type polymers because it is simple and has equimolar contents of n-type and p-type components in the polymer chain.
