Despite high flammability at low concentrations and causing suffocation at high concentrations, hydrogen gas remains true that hydrogen gas is very important in various industrial processes. Therefore, since a monitoring system is important in the use of hydrogen, hydrogen gas detection was confirmed by a nanocomposite composed of ruthenium nanoclusters decorated on carboxyl polypyrrole nanoparticles (Ru_CPPy) and a sonochemistry method using the nanocomposite. The size and number of ruthenium nanoclusters were optimized using sonochemical reduction by adjusting the amount of ruthenium precursor. Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the proton-treated base electrode had high sensitivity to hydrogen gas, low detection limit, fast reaction by changing the chemical state of the particles by solution-based doping. Thus, this study proved an effective approach to synthesizing composite nanomaterials with transition metals and conducting polymers for electrochemical applications. |
