Lithium ion batteries (LIBs) are of great interest in electronics markets for their high energy and power density. However, the low theoretical capacity of commercial graphite anode requires higher-capacity-alternatives. In this work, ZnIn2S4/CMK-3 nanocomposites (ZIS/CMK-3) were designed as an anode material for LIBs. They were synthesized via a facile one-pot solvothermal method after mixing OMC with ZIS. Zinc Indium Sulfide (ZIS) is a promising anode material due to its comprehensive properties from In2S3 and ZnS, which ensure high specific capacity and good stability with reversible lithium insertion/desertion, respectively. In addition, ordered mesoporous carbon (OMC), herein CMK-3, was adopted to increase the electronic conductivity. Its porous nature could also alleviate volume change of electrodes during lithiation/delithiation. |
