제목 Acetic acid gas adsorption characteristics of activated carbon fiber treated by oxygen plasma
초록 We use activated carbon fiber to enhance the adsorption performance to acetic acid, which is very harmful to the human body when it is a highly concentrated gas. However, compared to other volatile organic compounds, research on acetic acid gas removal is insignificant.
Oxygen functional groups are introduced into the surface through oxygen plasma surface treatment to improve the adsorption performance of activated carbon fibers (ACFs) to acetic acid gas. As the flow rate of oxygen gas increased during surface treatment, more oxygen functional groups are generated on the surface of the ACFs. Thus an etching phenomenon occurred on the surface of the ACFs, and the specific surface area of the ACFs are decreased. As the oxygen flow rate increased, the number of oxygen functional groups in the ACFs increased, resulting in the formation of hydrogen bonds between polar acetic acid gas molecules and polar oxygen functional groups, resulting is improved acetic acid adsorption performance.
