Photodegradation characteristics of WO3 photocatalysts treatmented by plasma and direct vapor fluorination |
초록 |
Dye wastewater adversely affect the aquatic environment due to their high chromaticity and turbidity. Photocatalysts are used to remove dyes for environmentally friendly and economical reasons. To enhance the photocatalytic activities of WO3 photocatalysts plasma and direct vapor fluorination were carried out. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy s analyzed to determine the oxygen vacancies site. and bandgap energy was measured through UV/Vis/NIR spectrophotometer. Oxygen vacancies of plasma and direct vapor fluorination WO3 photocatalysts were measured to be 14.65% and 18.59% respectively, was increase compared with 11.88% which is non treatmented WO3 photocatalysts. In addition bandgap energy decreased from 2.95 eV to 2.64 eV and 2.45 eV after plasma and direct vapor fluorination. Dye photodegradation performance improved by 1.7 times and 3.4 times after plasma and direct vapor fluorination. |
