Nanostructured self-assembled layers for molecular switch and memory |
초록 |
For the development of nano-architectured molecular electronics devices, it is essential to synthesize and characterize nano-structured and functionalized materials for molecular switches and memories that have hysteretic I-V characteristics in the solid state device and develop a self-assembly process for an immobilization of the organic materials into metal electrodes, and finally fabricate the nano-scaled molecular electronic device. In this presentation, We will report the synthesis and characterization of a novel thiol-terminated terpyridinyl ruthenium(II) hexafluorophosphate derivatives and their possible mechanisms governing switching and hysteresis in molecular system. We also like to report an introduction of self-assembled bilayers to improve device yields for the implementation of molecular electronics. Finally we like to present nano-patterning techniques using charged self-assembled layer for molecular memory devices. |
