Necessary of a SCR catalyst is on the rise because the regulations of atmospheric pollutants have been tightened in the field of stationary source such as a power plant due to flue gases containing the nitrogen oxide. Though V-based catalyst is commercially used to satisfy the regulation, it has several problems, formed high price range, high operating temperature. Above all, Mn-based low temperature catalyst is spot-lighted due to the price aspect, space constraints and energy saving. However, MnOx is easily aggregated at ambient continuous thermal environment at the operating temperature, and then the aggregated particles are possible to lead the degraded catalyst performance. This problem is solved by utilizing h-BN known as thermally stable material. Additionally, a high surface area of porous structure is attributed to the improved dispersion of nano-sized MnOx. And in doing so, Mn-based SCR catalyst supported on the porous h-BN shows the high NOx removal efficiency |
