The lithium-rich layered oxide has the advantage of high capacity (>250mAhg-1) and high energy density. However, due to the large particle size and non-uniform particle distribution structure, the surface area is small and the output characteristics are degraded. This study synthesized the nano-branch structure through hydrothermal synthesis to improve the output characteristics by increasing the ordered structure and surface area with small particle size and uniform particle distribution. Structure, microstructure and thermal stability were characterized using XRD (x-ray diffraction), SEM (scanning electron microscopy) and DSC (differential scanning calorimeter). As a result, the surface area was widened by the nano-branch structure, and the ionic conductivity was increased, thereby improving the rate perfomance. |
