제목 | Effects of Fe:Ni ratio of Fe-Ni bimetal catalysts on the product distribution for synthetic natural gas (SNG) with high calorific value in syngas methanation |
초록 | The correlation between hydrocarbon product distribution and Fe:Ni ratio Fe-Ni-Al catalysts in syngas methanation has been investigated with varying Fe:Ni ratio to obtain high-calrorific SNG based on quantitative analysis of the produced gas composition. The Fe-Ni-Al catalysts were typically prepared by the co-precipitation of Fe-Ni-Al precursors. The Fe-Ni-Al catalysts with various Fe:Ni ratios were tested in a fixed bed reactor with flowing syngas with a H2/CO=3 It was confirmed that the CO conversion increased with increasing amount of Ni in the catalyst. In addition, the activity of water-gas shift (WGS) decreased with the incorporation of Ni contents, leading to low CO2 production. At higher Fe/Ni ratio (≥19), the preferentially increased hydrocarbon components were light hydrocarbon such as C2-C4 and light paraffin during syngas methanation. Overall, the catalyst with a low contents of Ni showed improved SNG yield with high calorific SNG. |
