제목 | Effects of Fe:Co ratio of Fe-Co bimetal catalysts for production of high-calorie synthetic natural gas(SNG) in syngas methanation |
초록 | Synthetic natural gas has been suggested as a solution for the problem of low-calorie natural gas. In this study, Fe-Co bimetal catalysts with different Fe:Co ratios were synthesized by the co-precipitation to obtain high-calrorific SNG. The Fe-Co-Al catalysts with various Fe:Co ratios were tested in a fixed bed reactor with flowing syngas with a H2/CO=3. The CO conversion increased with increasing amount of Co in the catalyst. In addition, the activity of water-gas shift (WGS) decreased with the incorporation of Co contents, leading to low CO2 production. At higher Fe/Co ratio (≥2), the preferentially increased hydrocarbon components were light hydrocarbon such as C2-C4 and light paraffin during syngas methanation. Overall, addition of low contents of Co was effective to improve the SNG yield and high calorific SNG. |
