Coal to high-calorie synthetic natural gas process composed of bimetallic Fe/Co-based Fischer–Tropsch synthesis: Techno-economic analysis |
초록 |
Conceptual design for a coal to high-calorie synthetic natural gas (SNG) process was implemented by using Aspen Plus. The effects of key operating parameters together with the overall mass and energy stream results were obtained from the developed process model. Then the economic evaluation was implemented to assess the economic profitability of the proposed Coal-to-SNG process, using the indicators such as net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and discounted payback period (DPBP). Furthermore, sensitivity analysis as well as break-even analysis were also applied to investigate the economic performance of the proposed Coal-to-SNG process in different cases. It was shown that the SNG price, CAPEX, and coal price were the most sensitive factors, and the proposed Coal-to-SNG process was economically feasible at the plant scale of 500,000 ton per day, and was more economically competitive in the case of higher plant scale. |
