Preparation of PVA/TiO2/PANI-graphene composites for improved photocatalytic activities for organic pollutants |

Nanocomposite consisting of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/TiO2/polyaniline (PANI)-graphene were prepared in order to enhance the photocatalytic performance. PVA is used as polymer substrate, which has excellent mechanical properties and nontoxicity. Graphene is used to enhance the adsorption of organic pollutants. PANI is used to prevent the restacking of graphene and improve the electron conducting from TiO2. The morphology and structure were studied by scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer (SEM/EDS). The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by UV spectrometer based on the degradation of model pollutant. The improved photocatalytic activity is attributed to the effective electron transfer and adsorption of pollutants by PANI-graphene. |
