Thermal properties of paraffin/polyethylene composites as phase change material for thermal energy storage |
초록 |
Thermal properties of composites of polyethylene and paraffin were investigated to evaluate the possibility of phase change to effectively use wasted heat above 80 °C. In such a composite, the paraffin serves as a latent heat storage material and polyethylene acts as supporting material and melting temperature controller to increase temperature. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to evaluate thermal properties and their morphology. |
