Single cell research emerges importantly to identify specific cells from a group of cells. Due to the heterogeneity of the cell behaviors, it is crucial to discriminate and isolate single cells for further downstream analysis. In this study, we used a fluorescent probe to discriminate model cells individually by single cell level on a well-defined single cell microarray. The cells used in this study are MDA-MB-231 for cancer cells and NIH-3T3 for normal cells. RGD (Arg-Gly-Asp)-peptide was micropatterned on patterned hydrogel to fix the cells individually. A mixed solution of two kinds of cells was immobilized on the RGD-peptide hydrogel pattern and then reacted with a fluorescence probe. Fluorescent monitoring was performed using a confocal microscope and the fluorescent results revealed to identify MDA-MB-231 and NIH-3T3, respectively. This strategy platform will be widely applicable to various medical and biological tools. |
