A variety of drug-loading nanostructures based on the self-assembly of block copolymers has been developed for biomedical applications. However, the studies of nanovehicle which load both hydrophilic and hydrophobic dye are insufficient. In this study, we discussed the efficient fabrication of onion-like vesicles and their dual-loading capacity. For improving the efficient fabrication of onion-like vesicle, the concentration of polymer, type of solvent and concentration and type of surfactant were controlled. The dual-loading ability of hydrophilic FITC and hydrophobic Nile Red dye within the onion-like vesicles was proved by fluorescence spectroscopy. It was confirmed that lower interfacial tension tends to generate more onion-like vesicles by optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and cryogenic-TEM. This study might provide a useful strategy for the fabrication of versatile, multifunctional nanomedicine. |
