제목 Enhanced Properties of Pluronic F127 Hydrogel Using Ionic Interactions
초록 Pluronic which exhibits thermally induced gelation behavior in aqueous solution have been attracted in biomedical field. Despite of its special property, there has been some limitations for its practical use due to poor mechanical strength. In physiological environment, preformed gel showed poor stability both in vitro and in vivo. In this study, we modified Pluronic, PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymer, by introducing chargable moieties at the each end of the copolymer. Blending carboxylated and aminated Pluronics at an optimum ratio resulted in the improvement of micelle packing ability between micelles ny ionic interaction in addition to hydrophobic interaction. 1H-NMR spectra analysis concluded that the modified Pluronics were successfully synthesized with high degree of substitutions. Using dynamic mechanical analysis, ionically blended Pluronic hydrogel was confirmed to show higher modulus than Pluronic hydrogel at the same concentration.
