제목 Biodistribution of Hyaluronic Acid-Based Nanoparticles
초록 Biodistribution of hyaluronic acid (HA) nanoparticles were investigated using the near infrared (NIR)-based optical imaging technique. Cy5.5, a NIR dye, was chemically conjugated into the HA nanoparticles to visualize their biodistribution in the tumor-bearing mice. The nanoparticles were injected intravenously into athymic nude mice bearing subcutaneous SCC-7 tumors. The images showed that Cy5.5-labeled HA nanoparticles were specifically accumulated at the tumor site and liver because of the receptors such as CD44 on tumor cells and the HA receptor on liver endothelial cells. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that Cy5.5-labeled HA nanoparticle probes can be accumulated at specific site such as tumor and liver.
