A lot of polymer materials have been developed by advanced petrochemical technique. Furthermore, polymers are increasing the scope of application area which based on advance of production and manufacturing process. Plastics are very useful materials but recently it has several issues of environmental load like non-degradability and reduction of carbon dioxide emition. So, many research groups take note of environmental friendly biomass based plastics derived from plant and/or non-food etc. In this study, our group try to synthesized furan derived polyurethane (PU) by biomass based furanic monomers react with aliphatic/aromatic diisocynate. We confirmed the urethane structure through 1H-NMR, FT-IR. Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) was employed to calculate the molecular weight information of PU. Finally we evaluated thermal behavior by DSC and mechanical properties using UTM. |
