Harmful green-tide(HGT), bring about serious threats to aquatic life, human health, water quality, commercial fisheries, and coastal aesthetics, is a worldwide issue. Currently, to solve these problem, various-algicide compound with soil was developed. However, soil compound is sunken HGT without algicidal effect, which is cause of death in limnobios by eutrophication. In this study, to flocculate and remove from HGT, we used to chitosan as natural polymer. It is well known as material of non-toxicity and uninfluenced in freshwater and natural ecosystem. In addition, chitosan has a free amine group, and it can interact between chitosan and HGT of negative-surface charge. Chitosan with these propertise suggest that is possible as algicidal compound for effectively flocculation and inhibition against green-tide.
