Blood Coagulation-inspired Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel for Multifunctional Hemostatic Agent |
초록 |
During surgical treatment, excessive blood loss can lead to lethal situations. Thus, proper hemostasis technique is crucial. This has led to the development of hemostatic agents for clinical uses. However, current hemostatic agents have several limitations related to biocompatibility and functionality. Here, we demonstrated a hydrogel system inspired by blood coagulation mediator in platelets as a hemostatic agent with improved performance and multifunctionality. The hydrogel facilitated blood coagulation and exhibited improved hemostatic capability in vivo. Also, it could act as an anti-adhesion layer to prevent abnormal tissue adhesion. In conclusion, our bioinspired hydrogel that overcomes shortcomings of existing hemostatic agents could effectively control bleeding and provide multifunctionality, thereby improving clinical outcomes.
