Functional Nanoparticles for Engineering and Tracking of Immune Cell Therapeutics |

Recently, natural killer (NK)-based immunotherapy has attracted attention as a next-generation cell-based cancer treatment strategy due to its mild side effects and excellent therapeutic efficacy. However, the attempts of the molecular engineering of NK cells have been challenged by the low efficiency of gene delivery into this cell type. In vivo monitoring of NK cell trafficking is also crucial in studying NK cell behavior under physiological conditions and evaluating the efficiency of adoptive transfer. we described functional nanoparticles capable of genetically engineering NK cells, as well as in vivo MR and fluorescence optical imaging. |
