제목 Diacetylene Phospholipid-Mediated Synthesis of Nanotubules and Biomineralization Thereby
초록 In this presentation we show a recent test-tube example of silica gel-lipid nanotubules formed from an unusual surfactant diacetylenic phosphatidyl chlorine and tetraethosysilane (TEOS) by sol-gel condensation polymerization. The phospholipids has a zwitterionic head group and two hydrocarbon tails, each containing linear diacetylenic units. Its overall chiral structure generates bending and twisting stresses which force the aligning lipid bilayers into strips that wind into a tube-shaped helical structure. If the lipid template is added to water already containing TEOS, the two components co-assemble. The TEOS hydrolyses to produce silicate anions which interact with the lipid’s cationic headgroups and deposit along the lipid bilayers as they twisted into helical nanotubules. The same sol-gel reaction is applicable to the other precursors, such as Ge(OEt)4, Al(OEt)3, and Ga(OEt)3.
