제목 Economic Evaluation with Sensitivity Analysis For Hydrogen Production Via Solar Powered Alkaline Water Electrolyzer And Battery Energy Storage System
초록 Renewable energies have an increasing demand throughout the region due to the fact of increase in greenhouse emissions and depleting natural resources. In this perspective, renewable hydrogen has been recognized as a promising future energy carrier. Although several methods have been and are being developed for the production of hydrogen from renewable energy sources, the only state-of-the-art technique is alkaline water electrolysis. In this study, a comparative techno-economic study for solar photovoltaic (PV) powered AWE, with and without BESS, is conducted to evaluate the levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH). One-point sensitivity analysis was performed to observe the effect of parameters towards cost. Estimated variation in the raw material price and economic parameter variables highlighted the efficacy of the BESS and AWE hybrid design to ensure a continuous hydrogen production operation at a relatively lower cost.
