제목 | Photo-controlled 3D soft transforming robot enabled by reversible assembly-disassembly and shape reconfiguration |
초록 | Recently, many studies of soft robotics based on various polymeric materials have been reported. In particular, soft robotics research based on liquid crystalline network (LCN) is also emerging. However, improvement is still needed in terms of complex 3D architecture fabrication and structural transformation. In this study, a photo-controlled LCN-based 3D soft transforming robot was presented. Using dynamic covalent bond exchange, reversible assembly and disassembly between film interfaces are possible during UV irradiation, and a transformable soft robot can be manufactured. In addition, based on the light-responsive actuation of the LCN building block, the locomotion of the 3D soft transforming robot can be induced by selectively irradiating light in the visible region. |
