제목 Tripeptide Assembly Phases on 2D Nanosheets as Artificial Antibodies for Theragnosis of Bacterial Infection Diseases
초록 It is of great interest to design antibody mimics for the detection and inactivation of specific pathogenic bacteria. Herein, transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) nanosheet interfaces were functionalized with tripeptide assemblies (TMD-TPs). TMD-TPs were characterized by FT-IR, XPS, and ICP, showing the characteristics of both TMDs and peptides. Various tripeptide assemblies were constructed on the TMDs surface, and the resulting TMD-TPs exhibited different bacteria recognition selectivity. TMD-TPs had great selectivity to target bacteria against ten different kinds of bacteria. In addition, TMD-TPs detected the target bacteria at the concentration as low as a single copy from human serum. By using surface shaving and competitive assays, the binding sites of the bacteria were found through thorough experiments and simulations. Finally, TMD-TPs effectively killed the pathogenic bacteria on the skin wounds of infected mice under nIR irradiation, leading to rapid wound healing.
