This study relates to bulk LSC using aggregation-induced emission fluorophore (AIEgen) with intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) features. It has already been theoretically and experimentally verified that AIEgen has higher luminous efficiency in aggregates, unlike other organic dyes, and this characteristic of AIEgen makes it very suitable for use as a luminophore for PMMA-based bulk LSCs. Firstly, we used green-emitting AIEgen(TPP1) and we found a larger Stokes shift (136~147nm) in TPP1, which is an important to obtain higher efficiency. This study shows that LSC (5 x 5 x 0.3 cm3) prepared by adding TPP1 in PMMA has the characteristics of absorbing near-UV at wavelengths of 390~412nm and emitting strong light at wavelengths of 537~548nm. Due to the intense emissions coming out of LSC edges, we achieved ?int=35.7%, ?ext=3.9%, and, ?pce=0.66%. |
