Genome sequence harbors complex mechanisms of life, including vital functions of a cell and disease mechanisms. Thanks to the rapid development of genome sequencing technology, the researches on the effects of genomic variation on brain disorders are accelerated. We attempted to study the possible influence of genetic variations, including acquired mutations and inherited variation, on brain disorders. This talk will present the possible relation of somatic variation with Alzheimer's disease and the effect of the non-coding variants on Autism spectrum disorder. In addition, we will introduce the Korean reference genetic variation database, a.k.a KORSAIR, to help researchers who need to look up common or rare variants found in the Korean population. |
