Bis(2- hydroxyethylene terephthalate) (BHET) is the monomer of PET, which can be easily obtained from PET glycolysis. Bis(2-hydroxyethyl) cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylate (BHCD) can be produced by BHET, which is an important raw material to produce high-value products, 1,4-Cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM). Thus, utilization of BHET to convert BHCD with high conversion and awesome yield has became urgent project. In this research, for improving BHET conversion and BHCD yield, various catalysts were tested and engineering parameters including reaction temperature and operation time were adjusted. It is confirmed through various experiments that BHET can be used to produce BHCD with high conversion and excellent yield, besides, the BHET conversion and BHCD yield variation were obtained by comparing adjustment of engineering parameters before and after. In addition, the influence of the catalyst on the cis/trans structure rate of BHCD was also confirmed. |
