제목 | Synthesis of Highly Bright, Reproducible, Multi-Quantum dot densely embedded Silica Nanoparticle |
초록 | Quantum dots (QDs) haveunique optical properties based on the quantum confinement effect, so manystudies are being conducted in the fields of bio-imaging and diagnostics. Inthis study, we synthesized nanoparticles (NPs) with numerous QDs denselyincorporated on the surface of a silica template and coated with a thin silicashell. These SiO2@QDs@SiO2 NPs show much strongerfluorescence than single QDs and have the property of easy surfacemodification. SiO2@QDs@SiO2 NPs can be synthesized withalmost uniform size and exhibit high signal reproducibility. SiO2@QDs@SiO2 NPs emitting red, green and blue weresuccessfully synthesized and optimized. SiO2@QDs@SiO2 NPscan contain significantly more QDs than other NPs utilizing previously reportedsilica template-based structures and show good quantum yield. These SiO2@QDs@SiO2NPs enable high-sensitivity signal detection, which means that they can beusefully applied to biological applications. |
