제목 Biocompatible poly amino acid formulation for bioprosthetics
초록 (5) In recent years, bio-based materials, one of which is obtained by microbial fermentation, have been recognized to be a solution for environmental sustainability. There are three different poly amino acids present in nature, poly-γ-glutamic acid(γ-PGA), poly-ε-lysine(ε-PLS), and cyanophycin. Poly amino acids are biopolymers that are also directly synthesized naturally by microbial species, for example, poly γ-glutamic acid and poly ε-lysine and poly hydroxyalkanoate. Crosslinked γ-PGA gel has variety applications in medical device, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and environmental industry for its characteristics of biodegradability, non-toxicity, compatibility and edibility. Preparation of poly amino acids hydrogel can be achieved by crosslinking using irradiation such as γ-irradiation and electron beam irradiation or chemical crosslinking agents such as alkyldiamines, diisocyantes, and dihalogenoalkanes. We now report biodegradable hydrogels by crosslinking of poly amino acids.
