In a desire to reduce the single-use, non-degradable plastic waste that burdens the sustainable ecosystem, the Ministry of Environment is implementing regulations on the use of single-use products, but the consumption of disposable packaging materials has increased due to the COVID-19. These results are also evidence that a change from a linear economy system to a circular economy system is needed to solve the plastic waste problem. In this presentation, we would like to introduce a study on the polymerization of biodegradable plastic composites most suitable for a circular economy structure and present the application of biodegradable masks fillter, microplastics, and disposable bags using this material. This study is expected to solve the recently serious marine plastic waste and microplastic problems. |
