제목 | Kinetic modeling of β-butyrolactone process for biodegradable plastic through epoxide carbonylation with heterogeneous catalyst [HCP-(TPP)Al][Co(CO)4] |
초록 | β-Lactones are valuable molecules because they can be converted to the various materials like PHAs(Polyhydroxyalkanoates), acrylic acid, succinic anhydridesetc. In particular, β-butyrolactone can be converted to poly(3-hydroxybutyrate), one of PHAs which have attracted global attention as biodegradable plastic material due to their inherent biodegradability and excellent biocompatibility. β-butyrolactone can be produced from ring-opening epoxide carbonylation with heterogeneous catalyst [HCP-(TPP)Al][Co(CO)4] which has comparable activity of homogeneous catalyst. However, to produce β-butyrolactone in industrial scales, the reaction kinetics is necessary. Herein, I suggest several kinetic models based on Langmuir–Hinshelwood–Hougen–Watson(LHHW) and Eley-Rideal(ER) models in heterogeneous catalytic reaction. The parameters of models are estimated from Levenberg-Marquardt curve-fitting with batch reactor experimental data. The validation of kinetic models will be also conducted. |
