제목 | Gas Sorption Behavior in Polymeric Thin Film Tracked by Quartz Crystal Microbalance |
초록 | In industrial gas separation processes, the fabrication of high performance of thin film composites with selective layer thickness less than 1 μm, is much required. However, thin polymeric films are prone to behave differently than in bulk, which is ascribed to accelerated physical aging and nanoconfinement effect.1) To understand how the physical property of thin films alters, the quartz crystal microbalance is applied to gauge the gas sorption behaviors in polymeric thin films. Single component sorption of CO2, CH4, C3H6 and C3H8 in various polymeric films is examined at pressure ranging from 1~7.5 bars and the precision of following measurement is vetted with literatures and ellipsometry.
