제목 | Pilot plant studies of the influence of offshore condition on the CO2 capture performance of an Amine-Based Acid Gas Removal Units |
초록 | LNG-FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) is one of the promising technologies in natural gas industry but it is hard to handle, because it is exposed to offshore condition. Offshore conditions can cause mal-distribution of fluids in many processes on LNG-FPSO. Therefore, the offshore effect on the gas treating processes should be studied and considered at the column design stage to prevent gas treating process from off-specification. In this study, we focused on the performance of AGRU (Acid Gas Removal Unit) under offshore conditions. Amine/CO2 gas system experiment was carried out using a pilot scale column. Activated-MDEA (aMDEA) was used as a solvent for the experiment. 133 mm ID column with total 4.2 m packed height composed of 3 beds was employed. Representative offshore conditions were selected to permanent tilt from 1 to 6 degree and roll motions with period of 15 s ~ 30 s. From the experiments, changes of temperature profiles, CO2 out concentration, and CO2 rich loading were presented and investigated as operating and offshore conditions are varied. Results obtained under vertical condition were compared with simulation results from Aspen Plus and ProMax®. |
