제목 Effect of rheological properties of polyvinylpyrrolidone/carbon nanotube solution on the droplet formation via ultrasonic atomization process
초록 Ultrasonic atomization process was applied to produce micro-particles from solutions containing multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP). A major focus was to investigate the effect of rheological properties of solutions on their atomization behavior. Steady and oscillatory shear modes were applied in a rotational rheometer. In addition, extensional properties were also measured by using capillary breakup extensional rheometry (CaBER). It was found that the availability of droplet formation and size of the droplets depend strongly on the apparent elongational viscosities and the longest relaxation times of PVP/MWNT solutions.
