A highly-crosslinked polybenzimidazole (PBI) membrane for enhanced organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) prepared via simple and mild crosslinking process |
초록 |
Organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) has been received enormous attention recently in that the process is energy efficient and solvent resistive. In this work, a highly-crosslinked polybenzimidazole (PBI) membrane for OSN is fabricated by introducing an oxidant as a crosslinking agent. The crosslinking is performed under water-based and room temperature which are relatively mild conditions. Also, the crosslinking time is reduced within 4hr. The crosslinked PBI OSN membrane shows not only superior separation performance but also enhanced solvent stability. The rejection of crosslinked PBI membrane is highly increased compared with pristine PBI membrane and the membrane has no significant change when contacting various solvents. |
