제목 The forceful microalgae cultivation strategies for accomplishing of global commercial biomass production via selective biomineralization
초록 Microalgae are potent biomass resources due to theirability to reduce greenhouse gases along with the production of valuablematerials such as biodiesel, astaxanthin and omega-3 fatty acid.

When biomineralization was applied to Neochloris oleoabundans,biomass and lipid production were significantly improved during second stage ofautotrophic induction. Consequently, biomass and lipid productivity of N. oleoabundanscells cultured with biomineralization increased by 48.4% and 79.44%,respectively, compared to the untreated cells.

Secondly, we introduced the CaCO3biomineralization-based decontamination strategy (CBDS) which was highlyefficient in selectively eliminating biocontaminants, such as bacteria andfungi, during Haematococcus pluvialis cultivation. Under outdoorautotrophic conditions, the average astaxanthin productivity of H. pluvialisusing CBDS was substantially increased by 14.85-fold, compared to the untreatedcells.
