Transient absorption spectroscopy study on the effect of dye regeneration and recombination by introducing DACE electrode in ssDSSC |
초록 |
The charge density of the devices depends on the electron mobility in semiconductors used in hybrid and organic photovoltaics, which provides new insights into charge transport matrices’ in solid state dye sensitized solar cells (ssDSSC). Generally, in all ssDSSC’s, lower electron mobility is observed compared to the traditional DSSC, that lead to lower dye regeneration rate. To overcome this issue, conventional counter electrode in ssDSSC was modified with the dye anchored counter electrode (DACE) and their dye regeneration and recombination rate were analyzed using TAS. Here, TVP208 and DPP13 dyes were choosen for this study due to their complimentary absorption nature. The DACE ssDSSC has shown enhanced dye regeneration and decreased dye recombinations than conventional ssDSSC. In view of above investigations the present study highlights the significance of DACE electrodes in ssDSSC to achieve enhanced PCE performance and designing highly efficient ssDSSC devices. |
