Exploration of Nanostructures of Lower Symmetry in Polymeric Surfactants |

Block copolymers are polymeric surfactants with covalently jointed dissimilar components, which show phase separation on a nanoscale to reveal thermally stable or metastable nanostructures. Using Edwards’s Gaussian thread approach in connection with or without a molecular free volume theory, we consider some new nanostructures of lower symmetry for selected polymeric surfactants. The scattering behaviors of the suggested morphologies are given as a valuable addition to the crystallography database for those soft materials. The stability of given morphologies are also discussed. |
