Degradation and drug release of anisotropic nanoparticles of stereocomplexes between enantiomeric poly(lactide)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(lactide)s |
초록 |
Stereocomplexes between biodegradable polymers with opposite chirality have been studied for controlled degradation and drug release. In addition, anisotropic nanoparticles have been of interest because they could achieve decoupled drug release kinetics. In this study, enantiomeric ABA-type triblock copolymers of poly(lactide)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(lactide) with different poly(lactide) block lengths were synthesized via ring opening polymerization, and various anisotropic biodegradable nanoparticles were prepared via electrohydrodynamic co-jetting. One compartment was composed of stereocomplexes between enantiomeric triblock copolymers while the counterpart being composed of one of them. Depending on crystallinity and block length of poly(lactide), they showed different degradation and drug release behavior. In conclusion, anisotropic biodegradable nanoparticles with stereocomplexes would be useful for smart drug delivery system. |
