Removal of As(III) using Ferrate(VI) Encapsulated with Polymer |
초록 |
Ferrate(VI) has been proven to be an effective material for the oxidation of As(III). But Ferrate(VI) is easily reduced by environmental impact, causing reduction of reaction activity. So it needs to prevent reduction using encapsulating agent. In this study, paraffin and ethyl-cellulose was used for encapsulating agent which is porous allowing solutes to diffuse and come in contact slowly with the ferrate(VI) encapsulated (@Ferrate). It was well characterized by X-ray photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area analysis. The mechanism of As(III) oxidation and subsequent adsorption of As(V) was investigated through the pH effect, dosage effect, kinetic models. |
