제목 Polymer Electrolyte Membrane with Radiation-grafting of Styrene onto FEP film
초록 PEFC (polymer electrolyte fuel cell) such as DMFC (direct methanol fuel cell) or PEMFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell) can be used for a generation of electric power under supplement of methanol or hydrogen as fuel, respectively. In recent years, it has been indicated that PEFC will be one of most attractive clean-energies for future energy in the applications of automobile, distributed power, and portable power application. In here, we investigated possible properties on FEP film as fuel cell membrane, which is modified by grafting of styrene monomer with two kinds of electron beam irradiations, i.e. simultaneous irradiation and simultaneous one, and it compares with each other for a better homogenous grafting. Also, this study will examine mechanisms of both grafting and sulfonation in detail from FT-IR analysis.
