Herein, we report a new version of a thermally stable glass-fabric reinforced siloxane hybrid (GFRHybrimer) films fabricated with thermally stable linear vinyl-phenyl hybimer (LVH) as a matrix. The LVH, first developed as light emitting diode (LED) encapsulant, showed excellent thermal stability due to the thermally stable siloxane backbone and low moiety of organic functional groups. Our new LVH based GFRHybrimer (LVH-GFRHybrimer) film showed outstanding thermal stability up to 350oC, which is a desirable temperature for the fabrication of oxide-TFT devices. Besides the outstanding thermal stability, the LVH-GFRHybrimer film possessed variety of excellent properties including high transparency (88 %), smooth surface roughness (Rsq = 0.6nm), low thermal expansion (13ppm/oC), and high modulus (7 GPa). Given its desirable macroscopic properties, we predict our LVH-GFRHybrimer film as a great platform for fabricating flexible display devices. |
