제목 | Adsorption equilibria and kinetics of carbon disulfide on various adsorbent pellets in liquid phase |
초록 | Carbon disulfide (CS2) is a type of the sulfur-containing compounds existing in industrial waste mixtures. CS2 plays a role to reduce the separation process performance for xylene isotherms. Since carbon disulfide in liquid phase is fatal to lower the purity of crude oil in a petrochemical process, a technology for suppressing its existence is required. Therefore, the effective removal technology of CS2 has paid attention in industries. In this study, the adsorption capacity of CS2 on various adsorbent pellets in liquid phase was conducted in a batch system, and the results were analyzed by a GC-FPD(Gas Chromatography with Flame Photometric Detector). As a screening test, the experiments in a 50 ppm level of CS2 were conducted for six different adsorbents. Then, the selected three adsorbents, showing higher performance, were selected, and their isotherm was measured in the range of lower than 50 ppm. Finally, the adsorption rates of the adsorbents, showing the highest and second-best performance, were mearured because the removal performance in adsorption processes is decided by adsorption capacity as well as rate. |
